Woman’s Day Tea
As part of the year-long Celebration of Women at W&L, a
Woman’s Day Tea was held at the Reeves Center on March 16, 2006 in
observance of the venerable Japanese holiday of Hinamatsuri. On this
day, traditionally recognized on March 3rd, Japanese families
with daughters wish the young women success and happiness. In celebrating
the numerous accomplishments of women at W&L, our guests included many of
the prominent women who participate in the leadership of W&L. All in the
community were welcome to partake in a sweet and a bowl of tea. Students
from the Food and Tea course hosted the occasion.

GRAND OPENING of the Reeves Center
Japanese Tearoom

was invited
to come for a Japanese sweet and bowl of whisked tea. Tea Masters Larry Tiscornia
of San Francisco and Glenn Pereira of Boston joined W&L students in
hosting the event. There were five seatings beginning at
9:00, 9:45, 10:30, 11:15 and 12:00.
